Objectives : The general objective of the workshop is the strengthening of the capacity of the government institutions to foster a consensus among tripartite constituents supporting the introduction of an EII in Bangladesh.
Specific objectives : At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
Audience : The workshop has targeted 19 representatives of several departments and wings from Bangladesh government involved in the compensation of occupational accidents and diseases.
Methodology : 1st Part (ONLINE LEARNING) – Participants were given access to a virtual platform before the main classroom sessions in order to study the 7 online modules and for the completion of assignments. Participants were provided with pertinent documentation in order to expand their knowledge about the specified topics. The purpose of this phase was preparatory so that the participants become familiar with the contents and have better understandings of the need for an EII in Bangladesh.
2nd Part (ONLINE LESSONS IN THE CLASSROOM) – The online classroom lessons were delivered on ZOOM using pre-recorded presentations in presence of the resource personnel. Each session was followed by questions, comments and the sharing of experiences by the participants. Afterwards, a couple of facilitators stimulated the dialogue and interactive discussions took place during the last part of the session in order to enable a better comprehension of the various topics.
